ABOUT
Riot + Bloom Collective
Riot + Bloom was created from a simple tension.
Life is messy, emotional, unpredictable, and often overwhelming. A lot of resources meant to help either simplify it too much, overcomplicate it, or miss what it actually feels like to be in it.
Riot + Bloom exists to close that gap.
Riot + Bloom Collective is a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming creative and advocacy platform founded by Dr Nat (Natalja Nabinger de Diaz, PhD), Clinical Psychologist.
It brings together clinical expertise and lived experience to translate psychological knowledge into forms that are grounded and usable in real life.
Not just something you understand.
Something you can come back to when it matters.
The Philosophy of What we Do
At the core of everything built under Riot + Bloom is a shared understanding:
Emotions are not problems to fix.
They are experiences to understand.
This space is for people who need something that meets them where they are, no matter how messy, without losing evidence-based psychological rigour, structure, direction, or depth.

About the Founder
Riot + Bloom was created by Dr Nat
(Natalja Nabinger de Diaz, PhD), a Clinical Psychologist
based on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Dr Nat holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is a
Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
She holds memberships across the Australian
Psychological Society (APS), the Australian Association
of Psychologists (AAPi), the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD), and the Australian POTS Foundation, reflecting her work across developmental, neurodevelopmental, and complex comorbid presentations where the psychological and physical intersect.
Dr Nat has worked across academia, school communities, and inpatient settings. From her earlier work across cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness-based, and parenting clinical research, she has a particularly soft spot for working with families and young children.
She now works in her independent private practice predominantly with adults and adolescents with neurodivergence, anxiety, trauma, or other complex presentations where the psychological and the physical intersect.
For years, she looked for resources that matched what she was actually seeing in real life. And kept coming up short, not because nothing existed, but because nothing quite matched.
So she stopped looking. And started making them.

What's Next
This is an evolving space. New stories, tools, and ideas will continue to be added, each one built with the same intention: to make emotional understanding feel less abstract, and more like something you can live.
